EVIDENCE FOR ASSESSMENT Evidence for Assessment

Evidence will be collected by assessors primarily through discussions with a selection of staff. Large organisations can opt for 'Internal Review' where staff can be trained in–house to help gather evidence for the Investors in People assessment.

Internal Review is a process by which your organisation can develop its own staff to collect evidence against outcomes required to meet the Investors in People Standard.

The external assessor, in conjunction with the organisation and its Internal Reviewers, agrees the review objectives, the evidence collection mechanisms and report style. The organisation itself manages the evidence collection that best suits its own requirements and operational diversity.

All those involved in the Internal Review process must be deemed competent to fulfil the role and in particular must meet the Practitioner competence requirements specified by Investors in People UK. Investors in People South West is licensed to deliver the two–day mandatory training programme and a range of support packages to help organisations develop their Internal Reviewers.
