Achieving the Investors in People Standard is something to be proud of. Your achievement can be highlighted in a number of ways through using the Investors in People logos, plaques, posters etc. whether it can be to encourage staff or simply to show your customers and partner organisations that you take the development of your organisation seriously.
What's more, your organisations development does not have to stop at the Standard. Continuous improvemment is key to the ongoing success of organisations.
Profile has been designed to show an organisation how good they are and what areas they can focus on to enable further improvements and productivity gains.
The Profile framework was developed in response to customer demand for a tool which challenges progressive employers to continuously improve their approach to people management and development, and benchmark their performance against other leading organisations of all sizes and sectors.
Keeping up to date
There are a number of ways recognised organisations can keep up to date with the standard and best practice. These include:
Workshops
Investor in People workshops during the course of the year. The workshops are a great way to keep up to date with the Investors in People Standard and to share ideas and good practice with other organisations.
In-house workshop and training
Organisations can choose to have in-house workshops tailored to their specific Investor in People needs. Up to 10 people can be included per workshop session.
Advisor service
If you need some external advice on an ongoing basis, or want advice on how to approach a particular issue or simply want a fresh, independent viewpoint, ongoing support and advice is available at just £75 per hour (minimum 2 hours).
Internal review
Internal review is a great way for large organisations to instil the Investors in People ethos and share knowledge amongst departments. Trained in-house staff work with the external Investor in People assessor to gather evidence for the Investors in People assessment. Click here for more information.
Newsletters
Quality First - The quarterly Quality South West newsletter, Quality First, provides some of the latest news relating to support available, ongoing activities and Investors in People.
Raising the Standard is the quarterly Investor in People magazine for all Investor in People recognised organisations.
Events
Quality South West run key events during the course of the year aimed to inspire Investor in People organisations through hearing approaches of other successful organisations. Last years guest speakers included The Wrigley Group and Tim Smit, Founder of the Eden Project. Click here to find out more about our May event, venue @Bristol
IIP Surveys
Did you know that IIP UK produce a number of surveys exclusively for IIP recognised and committed clients? They are free of charge as long as less than 1000 people are interviewed.
These surveys are invaluable for measuring performance and identifying areas that need improvement.
Currently there are three questionnaires covering the Standard and a further three for the Profile framework as follows:
• Top Managers’ Questionnaire
• Managers Questionnaire
• People Questionnaire
